Re: Summer Covid-19 Updates
We are so excited that you plan to stay with us at the Presbyterian House in 2021.
This year will be a bit different, so here are a few things to know:
* Chautauqua Institution has not yet finalized its plans for the summer, but has committed to having programming at some level. We are not sure when the schedule will be finalized, but maybe not until March or April. It is safe to say that things will be a bit different this year but the Assembly will meet in person.
*We will be monitoring the guidelines from the CDC and the NY state health department. We have also been in consultation with the Department of Religion and other Denominational Houses at Chautauqua for safe planning purposes.
*We will be requiring all of our guests and staff at the Presbyterian House for 2021 to have received the Covid-19 vaccine prior to coming to Chautauqua. As of December, the CDC has indicated that all Americans will have the ability to be vaccinated by June 2021. An exception will be made for children under the age of 18.
* The Board and staff at the Presbyterian House are working to ensure additional safety measures. These are evolving as we monitor the situation, but it is safe to say that masks will be required and indoor gatherings will be limited. Extra cleaning and sanitation will be available. The dining room will have limited capacity and take out dinners will be available.
We want this to be a safe and comfortable experience for everyone and we are doing our best to work toward that goal. We have missed you and eagerly look forward to welcoming you back!
Thank you for your understanding! We hope this helps to answer some questions about the upcoming season.
